E46 m3 smg compression springs?

Hi, I recently picked up an E46 M3 but shortly after on full throttle the upchanges seem to go in gear but hold back! The revs sit level and dont race up as if its slipping!
It doesnt throw up the cog of doom and the gear im changing to doesnt flash!
Could this just be the compression spring or the clutch?
Ive used the search button but cant find my symptoms!

Sounds like worn clutch, or SMG calibration req'd. The broken spring affects gear selection, so unlikely to be that.

Ta mate :-) So will a hard reset do it or will it be a plug into autologic job! Ive only just got the car so hopefully something simple!
