Fellow Pher's, I currently have a car dilemma. I now live in Prague on a 3 year work assignment and have no car, the used car market her is a joke, full of utter crap for sale and there is pretty much no chance of buying something interesting considering the quality, quantity and the fact I dont speak the lingo.

So, my search for an interesting LHD car to potter around in has started looking in Germany and doing an import which is a regular thing to do and Ive been looking on their best website www.mobile.de.

So far I realise that LHD metal is more expensive than its RHD counterpart so anybody from the UK moaning about car prices needs a wake up call!!

I found this beauty for sale but the wife instantly pulled a face on the colour but Ive never seen one like it before...what is the opinion of fellow petrolheads???

Photos aren't as bad as it sounded, still a lot of cash for something that will be hard to sell again in the future though.

I'm amazed how well that works. Must be an Individual colour.

Get it bought.

God I miss my M5 frown It was all the car a man could ever need.

Phoenix Yellow was the only colour I would consider when I was researching an Z3MC and/or M3... it wears that colour so well

The M5? Not my 1st choice wink

Wouldn't really be for me in a 5-series, definitely an M3 or Z3MC colour IMO. However, if the car is sound mechanically and the bodywork is clean then that's the main thing

Quite a few E34 B10 Bi-Turbos on that site too smile

The last E39 M5 I owned was a 2002 in Bluewater, fantastic colour.

The PY is growing on me and I am the kind of mad b'start to buy a car like that....plus its a 06/2003 so must be one of the last ones.

No Sat Nav but hey ho that wouldnt be a deal breaker.

Will keep you all informed

The nav on these cars is pretty bks now anyway (as it's a ten yr old design).

Get the car bought.

That is probably unique. If you like it go for it as long as you know when you come to sell it that it will a) either take a very long time or b) you'll have to discount it massively

I always liked the M5's for their generally reserved looks and colours, shouty paint jobs usually suit M3's better.

Having said that the colour looks good on this one. It wouldn't be my first choice but if you're happy with it then go for it.

Regardless of the colour, I'll still be jealous biggrin

Colours like that don't suit big cars imo, if you can live with it then go for it.
