E36 M3: Man maths failing......HELP !!
Discussion
I have owned my E36 M3 for about 3 years, but in November last year I had the chance to buy my favourite version of the C5 Corvette (I have a history with Corvettes) and I couldn't pass up the chance, if I'd missed it then another might never have come up. The idea was that the C5 would replace the M3 as I already have too many toys.
I reasoned that the M3 would sell better in the spring/summer (convertible) so waited for better weather. For some reason I was struggling with getting myself together and getting the M3 ready for sale and on to the market. Finally I started valeting and getting it ready last week and now know why it was so difficult to get my act together: I still love it and just don't want to sell it.
It's a rare colour, very low mileage and close to mint condition and I really feel that I would regret it if I sell it.
So, I have a list of reasons to keep it, but I admit they're not brilliant, and although I have clearance to keep it from SWMBO, granted somewhat reluctantly, I am still struggling to justify holding on to it. My main concern is insurance, as I have transferred NCB to the Vette and M3's can be pricey to insure, but if I can get it cheaply enough then it will be the final decider for me. I want something like a classic policy with limited mileage and not using NCB, so I'm hoping there is someone out there who has done just that and can recommend a broker who offers this for "newer" cars ('99 registered). I know I could ring around and use comparison sites etc., and that's my next plan of action, but having recently played that game with another classic and suffering the multitude of pointless phone calls and follow ups, I'm hoping to avoid that pain again

The mileage on the M3 what is it :-) ?
Currently around 42500, bought with 39000 on it, so little use even as a daily driver, as I have a works van for business use. Thanks for all the replies, I'll try Classicline first as my other classic is with them so nice to know they might be able to do something with the M3 as well. Failing that I'll give the others a go.
Thanks to all for the suggestions. I called Classicline first as I also have the Lambo with them, they quoted £287 for 1500 miles p/ann. Also called RH and Adrian Flux but neither came close. Chap at Flux did say that the quote I'd had was extremely good, so I bit the bullet and my M is now insured again. Just got to get it taxed now.
It's definately staying, but damn I wish I didn't like cars & bikes as my spend on them is reaching very silly levels now
Oh well, one life and all that
