Quick help from E30 M3 owners please

Could one or two of you help me out please and measure the dimensions of the gear knob gaiter (the metal frame bit) that clips into the centre console.

I want to compare it to the dimensions of my E28 M5 gaiter, which is 154 mm in length measured down the middle, and 110 mm at the widest point. It is approx 90 mm across towards the bottom before the corners start to round it off.

I'm looking to buy a new one-piece gear knob and gaiter for the M5, but they are NLA from BMW anymore. E30 M3 ones appear to be available new and looking at pictures appear very similar. Even if they're not identical I could possibly sew the E28 metal frame into the E30 gaiter....

M3's are, width
widest point 125mm
narrowest 110mm
length 158mm

+/- 1mm or so.

Remember, M3's have dogleg boxes,

That's a great help, thank you. I think I might be able to convert a new M3 gear knob and gaiter to use the M5 frame going on the measurements.
