Excellent review (from an M135i owners perspective) in the September issue which may not be in the shops yet but is downloadable.

Also nice to see the long-term test going well so far.

I haven't seen that issue. Did the M135i reward more as a drivers car than the AMG in their opinion?

They said it was quick but uninvolving... Its another RS3 basically.....

I'm not sold on the looks either, its a bit glitzy for me...

Couldn't 't agree more.

A lot of these AMGs look very "pimp my ride", especially C63s.

The only one I'd entertain in the E63 which to me is a proper AMG, a great car.

M-cars all day long for me!

Not sure if it's in the shops yet but download copy is available.

Merc has a nicer interior and is marginally faster to 60, the BMW is better in every other way is how I read it.

Just a shame the latest 1-series has such an ugly front end; those lights, urgh! Other than that, a masterpiece, nothing to match it for the purpose it was intended for.

What's wrong with the lights? I love my Estoril blue auto M135i and after 8000 pleasure filled miles, no probs just bliss, and I love its noise but may just have to give it more bhp's - anyone had theirs tuned?

Ok, maybe not the lights, but a little bit hmmm, nosey?!?!

I really want to like it, as the M135i is the perfect fit for my requirements, but maybe need a little more time to appreciate (?) it. Certainly looks nice in grey, my favourite colour.

I own one. I think the looks are questionable but I never see them when I am driving it and the interior is a fine place to be. It is far far faster than I was expecting, which is good.

I enjoy my one immenseley

Driving is surely more important than the admittedly awkward looks?

I think both can be quite important, but then again, my cars generally do spend more time sitting on the drive looking pretty than doing anything useful! Certainly was the case with my M3 and Cayman R!!!

They do look odd but that doesn't put me off.

Look at how popular Scoobys were after all!
