Anyone know this car?
I am undecided between another E46 M3 or an E39 M5. The blue one at Williams Motor Co in South Glamorgan looks stunning.
I just hate talking to car dealers who have no idea about cars.
Has it been a PH members car who could shed any light on its history?

Regards

Ben

I've seen it in the flesh, it's a lovely car.
Best colour IMO.

Well not really but my desired spec has now changed which will make chance of finding an M5 fairly difficult.
I really need folding seats as I carry large samples for work so without folding seats, I'm fairly buggered. I also take my bike with me at weekends and I really don't fancy my MPG figure dropping any lower than what it would already be. smile

So has the garage brought yours then or are they just acting as a broker?

It's a lovely car by the way, just a shame it's not Le Mans Blue. wink

Assuming having bikes strapped to the car affects your enthusiasm for flattening the throttle pedal then you should find that isn't really an issue - I get better mpg towing 1600kg+ of car and trailer to the track than I manage just driving it around 'normally'!

That probably has something to do with extra weight providing a little extra momentum on the flats and downhill sections.
Apparently having a bike up top reduces mpg by around 20%.

They're acting as a broker. I found that selling it privately was proving difficult as everyone needed part ex etc.

Good luck with finding your ideal M5, I'm sure it's out there somewhere smile

Folding seats for a bike? An estate for luggage? Amateurs! wink

And the onboard still averaged 23.5mpg for the 450 odd miles
