Picking it up Monday.

Regarding the manual vs DCT debate, I tried both, and while the DCT is massively impressive, and no doubt much faster, I just enjoyed driving the manual more, so chose the 3 pedal option smile

Has all the extras I was after, including EDC smile and the previous owner had fitted a schnitzer exhaust, while I'm not convinced by the style, it sounds fantastic!

The only thing I don't like is it has some weird fake wood trim, so will be replacing that at some point...

Can't wait to pick it up though bounce

That looks very clean! I picked my E92 up last Friday and am thoroughly enjoying it. I sold a manual and opted for the DCT box, which I definitely prefer.
Enjoy!

Easy enough to get the fake wood wrapped, carbon look vinyl is a popular option. Well done for going with the three pedal option.

Good luck, I'm sure you'll love it and good choice on getting the three pedal option.

I strongly recommend the gearstick from the US only F10 M5, really improved the greachange.

No, I think that's just the one they fit to any M Sport 5 series. The M5 version lights up in the same way as that fitted to the M3. The part no. is 25112284205, although the price is the same. I ordered it from my local dealer and it only took a few days to come from Germany.

Have a look at this thread on M3Post.com for some background info. Not difficult to do as long as you're methodical and take your time.

Thanks for posting this info up, I also think the stock M3 gearknob is a poor effort & this is definitely the way forward. smile

Well, picked it up this morning, and managed to go through half a tank of fuel (24mpg is better than I expected)...

Initial thoughts, all very positive, glad I went for a manual, love the schnitzer exhaust, gives it a proper NASCAR soundtrack...

And pressing on, what can I say, it's been a little while since I've had a quick car, but fortunate enough to still get to drive some now and again, but flooring it in 2nd gear all the way to 8000rpm, it's stonking, I couldn't believe how quickly it accelerates!!!

Great car enjoy! As said the carbon effect trim looks really nice. Just reading this reminds me that in 12 minutes I can get in mine to drive home. I always look forward to the noise!
