Guys how much less would you expect to pay for an e46 m3 that did not have running in service completed? I know values differ car to car so perhaps expressed as a % of asking price for discount. 15-20%?

To be honest values are all over the place with them right now. Not too simple to put an exact figure on it......

Also they are 10 years old roughly, if its not had a running in service, i would assume there would be problems before now. I would drive it and see how it goes.

Other than that, if its a concern, then there really is quite a few around, just go buy another one. Unless its a mega rare colour you cannot do without with super low miles.... a 2004 in Lagauna Blue manual springs to mind.

The original issue around the running in service was because BMW would not honour a warranty claim if it was missing, so unless the car is still under the original warranty, which I doubt, it's largely irrelevant now.

If it has had an Inspection 2 done then all the fluids will (should) have been changed which covers the running in service.
