I had the front of my CSL done last year, bumper, bonnet, front wings & mirrors - £1,300.

This was at a BMW bodyshop & the finish is perfect.

Will depend on why the bonnet to be repaired.

is it stone chips or is it dented and stone chips , is it key scratches?

Another thing is colour as most colours will need blending into wings and bumper , we should know its seems a very common car to us with PH member saying we have a z4 in nearly every week for repaint at present.

To give you a idea we would charge around £995 for complete front end repaint with removing bumper to properly remove grils etc.

We would not think of painting just the bonnet unless the car is known to us , we painted new supercharged jag recently for heavy stone chips and its back in now after a year for just the bonnet to be painted after a bag or something like that scratch

This seems in the ballpark. Got a quote for the M5, and the guy suggested exactly what you had done, bonnet, wings mirrors and he quoted 11 or 12 hundred.

Does the fact that it's aluminium, make a difference?
Open question, as I have no idea....

Is that a BMW bodyshop's definition of perfect (i.e. swirl marks, holograms, orange peel), or a KDS Keltec definition of perfect scratchchin

No it's like a very dark blue with a silver fleck, don't know we're I would find the actual paint colour?

Looks almost black in certain light...

Given your attention to detail, that price is a bargain.

OP, look no further, call Kelly.

That describes Carbon Black - check the frontsuspension turrets, there'll be a label with the colour there.

Blimey, i just had the whole of my Octavia VRS rear bumper resprayed/repaired from a scrape, scratches etc and it was £150. The colour is the mettalic blue you see on most VRS's it was also done at a Skoda body shop who dont just specialise in VAG group as they had just finished restoring an old mercedes that looked mint.
