First post so be gentle.....

I have a leak on my M6 and it looks like it is from the in/out section of the cooler opposed to the actual main unit. I have a new one on order and a garage ready to fit as I know that this is important.

The question I have:

Is it safe to drive until I have it fixed?

Thanks

Paul

I wouldn't risk it - what is now a slight weep or drip could turn into something more substantial without warning. By the time the low oil level or low oil pressure light comes on damage might be done. And what sort of use where you thinking - limping around a few miles from home for a couple of days or a 2 week trip to Europe? The former sort of use you could take a chance on but the latter strikes me as foolish given the cost of an engine rebuild.

Thanks for the reply.

I do a 60 mile round trip commute with 50 of those miles on motorway.

I guess that I should leave it parked up until I get the part frown
