I have an e 46 2003 m3, looking to purchase the above, does the flywheel automatically come with the clutch purchase or is it an additional cost on top on clutch itself

Also, for a capable mechanic, how long would it tKe to fit?

They are seperate parts.

Luk clutch kit is £187, Luk flywheel £288, both from Euro Car Parts.

I would budget for around £1,000 to have both supplied and fitted by a decent specialist.

It has a dual mass fly wheel, so if you intend on keeping the car you're better off changing both, as if (when) the flywheel starts to rattle a few thousand miles after doing the clutch you'll be paying to have the job done again.

About a 4.5 hour job iirc, and don't forget to get new flywheel bolts too.

It takes 3 hours to change a clutch & dmfw, any competent indy can do it, yes do get the wheel bolts as well as new ball pin, gearbox mounts, tube bush for the gearbox too
Definately do them both as these cars suffer alot from clutch chatter when creeping off & when reversing.
