Ordering F10 M5 LCI advice with options
Discussion
Hi all,
I am about to pull the trigger on ordering a new M5 LCI and want to get a view on options
So far going for:
Surround view 5DL
sun protection glass 761
20" M double spoke 2NZ
Also looking at:
Adaptive LED headlights 552
M sport multifunction seats 4MA
Oscillating seat base function 455
Anyone experience with the M sport multifunction seat
Cheers

The multifunction seats are the best I have ever had in any car. I am about to pull the trigger on ordering a new M5 LCI and want to get a view on options

M Multifunction seats are great, the oscillating seat base is OK but it's not exactly an essential option.
LED headlights are nice, but not significantly better than Xenons, the light is whiter which can sometimes appear less bright than the OEM Xenon colour.
Surround view is well worth having if you are ever in a tight spot.

As above, no experience of the Multi function seats, but i can confirm the standard seats are more comfortable & supportive than my A8, an opinion shared by my 7 month pregnant wife so good advert that the stock seats are good. I've spent over 4 hours continuous on 4 occasions in the car now & the stock seats are by far the most comfortable seats i've ever sat in.
I had the Multi Function seats in my E60 M5 & tbh the auto bolsters were a gimmick & i only ever engaged them to shock passengers on track.
Only options i selected were Harman Kardon speaker upgrade & Auto boot lid

Sounds like multifunction seats are probably the way to go,but without oscillating base
Still prefer the look of the LED lights, just need to try and justify the cost.
Thought about the competition pack, but a little hard to justify, even the dealer said you'd be unlikely to notice the difference unless on a track against other M5's.
With the current Q4deals the car has to be register before end of march, which is fine as my E-class goes at the end of April
Just need to decide on colour
Space Grey or Singapore Grey or Monte Carlo Blue
Decisions decisions

Led lights do look great, I did read something about them loosing intensity over a few years though, not BMW ones specifically but LED headlights in general.Sounds like multifunction seats are probably the way to go,but without oscillating base

Had word today that mine should arrive at dealer 6th January

Go for Monte Carlo Blue, I would've but needed it to be anonymous so went for imperial Blue.
The smallest change with the competition Pack is the power, it's so small as to be irrelevant. If you want a louder exhaust, then the CP gives it. It gives a stiffer setting in Sport+ mode, otherwise similar to the non CP although not quite the same. The biggest difference that's noticeable day to day is the change in the steering rack, it's quicker and gives more feedback.
Carbon Ceramic brakes are a worthwhile option if you can stretch that far. Over the life of the car, they are not as expensive as you might think as they will last several times longer than the stock brakes.
