Thinking about doing it...

Has anyone here done it?

Any tips? ESS or other? Power available? Reliability? Anything to avoid?

Thanks for any pointers.

tbh i personally wouldnt do it again....... lots needs changing to support the power, you will need to spend a fair amount replacing many items with uprated versions as things will break...... if you plan to keep your car then awesome, take your time and enjoy the mods, if this isn't something that will be staying for a long while, definitely dont bother.... or buy a car already done.... theirs one for sale for 20k right now with all the bits done :-)

I own one and am planning converting another this year.

I have been driving the non-supercharged one for a few days and it feels sloooooooooow.

It's expensive but if you are keeping the car for a while then worth it. A boosted S54 is a very special thing indeed.

My supercharged version is 475 and my non-supercharged is going to be getting the 550 kit. I can only imagine what the 550 will be like as the 475 is a fking rocket-ship. It's addictive.

Give the guys at simpson motorsport a call. Super friendly guys who will do a damn good job at a very good price.

The silver one. Only 43,000 miles on her and near enough standard. I want to build one and do it exactly how I want it. I bought the supercharged one fully modified. It used to be a demo car for CA Automotive so was all done to a very high standard and is a lovely car but one of them has to go and I have a certain affinity for Mary (the silver standard one) as she was my first powerful RWD car and she has a sunroof.

Unfortunately SWMBO wants a conservatory and we got a quote yesterday which is just about the same as the M3's value. We've got 4 cars and not much room on the drive so one of them has to go.

I suspect I may grow to hate the conservatory.
