I'm undecided about them. I have some plate holders and I'm toying with the idea of putting pressed plates in them.

Chav or not?

I bought mine from here, were spot on. Not a fan of the plate holders, had them on my E36 6 years ago, look too busy imo

Surely if they're pressed metal in the correct font and format, then there isn't an issue? If they're made to look like those pseudo German plates with the tags in the middle, then of course they won't be legal. Personally, I wouldn't bother.

Pretty sure I heard once that part of the rules on UK plates is that for cars older than 1970-something they 'shall be of plastic construction'.

Anyway....it'll look CRAP so don't do it! smile

Never had an issue with mine for the last 8 years on 3 different cars, I dont see anything ugly about them each to their own and all that jazz. If you like it go for it.
