F10 M5- who has used launch control?

Do you guys ever use launch control? If so, how often bearing in mind the manual says not to do it too often?

I've used it twice, I was about to start a topic about it because I'm not sure of the point?

Just seems to dump the clutch then you get excessive wheelspin. Also I thought it was supposed to change up automatically even though it's in manual mode? Mine seems to bounce against the rev limiter before changing up.

Never bothered with it , just Sport+ MDM and boot down, end of.
Only done that once, just don't need too.

Not me - plenty quick enough but then traffic light gp's are not my thing.

On the other hand, SWMBO is dreadful at traffic lights. A standing joke in our house is that my two sons will wind her up and say that the XXX in the next lane is revving his/her engine and is up for a race from the lights. She grows a pair of horns and won't be beaten! Fortunately, she doesn't know how to operate launch control

Haha, I guess she isn't beaten very often in the M5?

I haven't had the 1200 mile service yet so I haven't tried it yet.

I've not felt the need for LC yet, it's a bloody monster even in comfort mode!
