F10 M5 Rev Limiter

The M5 will only rev to about 4000 when stationary. Can this limit be removed?

Because I had one sitting behind me in traffic and when he revved it to about 8000rpm I nearly pooed my pants

Traffic = stationary.

Not sure about the F10, but my R32 DSG was the same, 4000rpm with foot on brake in D or N..... But you could redline it in P! Let us know if that works

My LCI will not rev past 4 K stationary , I like that.

Grandads had a 360, gt3 , GTR , selection of TVR, M3s, Caterham, Megablade and others and not one had this annoying limiter .

Pal of mine got in revved it got out and said what's that all about and scurried off to his BMW 6 series.
