...that isn't a CAT C/D or missing it's entire service history? frown
It's proving hard. There are only a few on PH, most of which are sold. Autotrader no better.

I was looking at the Munich Legends website earlier and they had a couple, I am not sure about Service history etc, but the one in estoril blue looks nice.... Happy hunting, cracking looking car!

It's worth leaving your name and number with ML, 4Star, etc and asking them to give you a call if they get one into stock or if they hear of someone looking to sell.

Rare cars and they're only going to get rarer as they're pranged or shipped abroad.

Increasingly rare to find a good one now and this is completely reflected in the rise in prices.

When you do find one, I imagine it will be an extremely good investment!

I went over to Belfast to get mine just over a year ago but there definitely seemed to be more available then, usually 10 in the classifieds at any time but now it seems theres only 1 or 2 that are actually still available.

Unfortunately mine is now is a cat C, done in my ownership when it was getting the boot floor welded and the interior went on fire but I'll be holding on to it for a while so doesn't bother me right now.

I think that one that sold at auction went for a surprising amount, if I remember correctly it had been off the road a while and either needed a couple of jobs doing or was missing some history, but prices do seem to be going up.

I found mine through the http://www.z3mcoupe.com website, so worth checking on there if you haven't already. This was 6/7 years ago now though when there were certainly more around for sale than now.

Good luck.

Spoke to the guy a work, who's after one, today. He drove from Cornwall, to Munich Legends, to check out those two examples, ready to buy. Put a provisional offer on the Silver one, if rust in the boot and other Items were sorted. It was sold the next day, as seen, for around the asking price to my knowledge. silly So he's still looking.

I can only assume from that example that they are now being bought for investment, as much as to drive. Which is a little sad, but understandable.

Only 20k miles! yikes

Assuming the condition is commensurate with mileage - i.e. it's mint and has genuinely full service history - I'd have thought you might get some nibbles at £20k.

I can see that kind of car being worth at least high 30s. Just not many around and a proper cult following. The z4m are stabilising too...

I'm going to hold out! There is possibly one that has just come up....
I'm sure it will be worth the wait. The one I drove way back in '98 is still fresh in my mind.
