Just had a go in one of these yesterday - What an awesome car, I loved it. It rides beautifully, firm yes but beautifully damped and the pace of it was incredible, plenty of space for kids and shopping, sounds really nice too. I must say the seats were also very comfortable, it's a car you can easly cover big distances in. I really want one, great daily driver that can be used anywhere. I drove the auto and have to say, it was very good. Not quite as awesome as my old E92 M3 but not far off and a much better daily proposition.
Agreed - as a quick daily, there's nothing to touch it and it's still quite a small car too, so doesn't feel massive on the tiny roads near us. I reckon it's pretty much as quick as my Cayman R and although not quite as dynamically competent as that car, it's a lot more comfortable.
So, this and the Cayman R and then we just need to figure out which 4x4 to get (I'm thinking Macan) and Bob's your uncle!
Does anybody have any ideas of where to get the best deal - looks like about 10% from Drivethedeal, without batting an eyelid, so presumably more to be had from an actual dealership?

Other than nicer looking headlights IMHO, what does the 2 offer over the 1'er? Seems to me less practicality?
I just personally find a Coupe more desirable I would have never considered buying a M135i but since I went to look at the M235i it has just sucked me in big time and I appreciate you are paying more for what is essentially the same car as the M135i but I just personally prefer the 2 series. creepy coupe said:

This is why I've ordered one. My heart still wishes I had bought a Porsche, but part of me knows I needed something a bit more practical for my daily commute and for the weekend, with more realistic monthly payments. The money I'm forking out on this could have got me a 911S Gen 1 or a V8 Vantage. Okay they will be much older, but definitely a lot more special. I didn't really want another BMW, but I'm sure I will enjoy the 'tech' aspect of a modern day car over the older more prestigious cars I was looking at. I will own a 911S 997 Gen 2 one day, or maybe something newer when I actually get round to doing it.

I have to say that I am looking forward to it - Car has a great spec (wasn't quite perfect but I didn't want to wait until September either). I don't think I'd have picked the colour combination but to be honest, it's fine. For me it's a bit of a no-brainer buy - I'm delighted!
