Hi Chaps

Have a 2013 m5 7000 miles last 3-4 weeks the brakes have started squeaking really badly at low speed. I do drive it hard but was wondering if this was a common problem??

Fairly common - there have been a number of comments by various owners.

It's the one thing I find annoying on my car.

It could be a small stone chip stuck in the system
I had one on mine and the noise it made was so loud and nasty I managed to get more attention than a 458 I was cruising with.
Called BMW emergency service, a mechanic came in a van and took the chip out for me. sorted

Yeah, my F10 does it too - and so do many cars which have ventilated discs.

When it starts to do it, jab the brakes very hard. This will stop it from happening for a short while at low speed/slow braking.

My LCI M5 never makes this noise, snow foam the whole car wheels and all, jet wash off, no problems.
I jet wash the disks and pads every wash.

My fronts squeak occasionally.

BTW I think the brakes are the one weakness with the f10, they dont seem confidence inspiring.

VERY squeaky. Love the car but obviously a common problem (although, I can't hear from the squeaking over the "slow down" shouts from other occupants

google for M5 brakes break-in. I had it in my old F10M (not in the CP one). Followed that procedure and it never squeaked again.
