Swapped my trusty 8 year old E90 330d for this last week :-

It's a December 2011 car and only done 4,000 miles so really a new car (just with a 50% discount ;-)

Got lots of goodies including the carbon trim, connected drive and DCT.

Have had lots of BMs in the past but mostly diesels (320d, 330d, 535d etc.)

First impressions.....fantastic fun car, especially the noise at 8,500 :-) Only auto I have ever owned was the 535 however this is the first dual clutch for me. Have driven lots of Porsche PDK cars and must say, I'm very impressed with the DCT....seamless shift when cruising and aggressive / fun when in S5.

Predictable this one, but only down side having come from a 330d is the lamentable fuel consumption, currently averaging 15mpg !! This is hopefully down to the engine still being quite tight and me playing with the throttle and enjoying the noise a little too much.

But, is this abnormally low or par for the course with an E92 M3 ??

Great car mate. Where did you buy it from? Black performance grills would look nice.

Thanks ! Was originally looking for a late F30 330d but then saw this for the same money. Head was screaming 330d but heart was obviously set on this one. Have never owned a real M and as a petrol head through and through, is something I just had to do :-)

Got it from our local BMW dealer.

Luckily, I only do about 100 miles a week on average so consumption is no biggie. Am just surprised as did expect it to be thirsty but not THAT thirsty ;-)

Will have a look at the grills, should be some pictures knocking around on the net.

Same as my Z4. A stunning colour when buffed up.

Looks like you have found a cracking example.

Looks lovely, in the best colour too.

I averaged 19.4 in my 2011 DCT E90

Don't do the black grilles, they look pants with the chrome side grilles, shiny wheels and tailpipes. Mine came with black grilles and I swapped them for OEM grilles, as the black looked out of place IMO

Ditto re the black grilles

mine is jerez black and came with black grilles......it just looked a bit chavvy so I put standard grilles back on, and it looks much cleaner

Nice looker, MPG is low but if you are caning it then it will be, I averaged 23 MPG over 10K miles but drove fast normal most times and out of town.
I live out of town and the F10 M5 i have gives 23.5 MPG also.
