BMW blood!!!!!
Discussion
So there I was, just about to pull a decent deal on a merc C63 coupe, almost down to the handshake when I get a call from my local dealer offering me to come down and test the new M4 or M3.
I have kind of been telling myself that I didn't really want another M car, but guess what?
I actually pulled out of the merc deal!!!
And i haven't even had my test drive yet!
Hope I'm not wrong, i was quite determined to like the merc and i was getting a stonking deal, i doubt the car will still be there when I go back in a week, but oh well
BMW M powered blood, what can I say.
I hope i've made the right decision.

I'm a big fan of AMG's and M cars - in fact, I'm just about to 'swap' my M6 for an SLS. However, when it comes to new M3/4 vs. what is shortly going to be the 'old' C63, I think you've made the right choice. I think the new cars will be outstanding (lets be honest, what new M3 isn't?) and I can't wait for the missus to get hers on Saturday

Sad news to me Paul you getting shot of the M6, my M6GC CP coming September 1st.
Nice to see the new M3 coming on Saturday though.
I test drive the new M3 on Sunday.

Nothing to be sad about....the M6 isn't going for any reason other than the fact I've hankered after getting back into an SLS since I sold mine. It's a truly unique car and feels like nothing else on the road. But, if the truth be told, the M6 is probably the better all round car objectively (it's certainly far more modern, more technology etc) but the SLS is my dream car and I wish I never sold my last one. I have the opportunity to buy what is probably the UK's best spec'd SLS (well, it has every single option) and I like to believe that if I buy one now (with prices stable for the last year and supply almost dried up), it will be far more financially sensible than keeping the M6 for another year. Which has lost the value of small country's GDP, which I guess one can only expect.

I'm testing the M3, M135 and M5 back to back on Saturday, I've had some negative feedback on the M3/4 from someone who has just tested it at one of those BMW arranged MSV track days, I'm hoping I don't feel the same way.
Sounds like a great day to me Wills
and I will look forward to reading your experiences as from the posts you put on here you are always honest and realistic when it comes to cars and I hope you enjoy the day. Palmball said:

Ooops sorry Andrew ( answered PM) , I can only hope my M6GC CP was bought at the right price to offset the massive hit I may incur on resale.I have the opportunity to buy what is probably the UK's best spec'd SLS (well, it has every single option) and I like to believe that if I buy one now (with prices stable for the last year and supply almost dried up), it will be far more financially sensible than keeping the M6 for another year. Looking forward to it Cerb, the last turbo petrol I drove was my old Passat 1.8T back in 2000 so driving 3 on one day should give me an idea about them.
