F10 replacement wing mirror
Discussion
Hi,
Having ripped my own passenger wing mirror off in a totally avoidable accident with a wooden post whilst trying to reverse down a very narrow road at the weekend at a christening I am now in need of a new wing mirror - luckily it appears to be just glass and a bit of plastic (minus the scrape at the back on the rear wheel arch).
Is it as simple as going to local BMW and ordering the part number as per the serial numbers/part numbers on the inside of the mirror? Is it worth going through BMW apart from knowing the part is genuine and that I might as well hand over all the cash in my pocket?
Thanks, Matt

When you go to the main dealers, remember to take some lubricant with you!Having ripped my own passenger wing mirror off in a totally avoidable accident with a wooden post whilst trying to reverse down a very narrow road at the weekend at a christening I am now in need of a new wing mirror - luckily it appears to be just glass and a bit of plastic (minus the scrape at the back on the rear wheel arch).

I remember someone being quoted £2000 by a main dealer for BMW E60 M5 wing mirrors for the pair. Ouch.
Try breakers yard?
