encrypted ECU, will take a while.

F10 M5 has products in market, but I dont think they have been around long and M3/4 has differing encryption.

The only way is the aftermarket ECU, multi-point loom.
Expect low-mid 3 seconds too 60.

We have 3 here and they are supercar ballistic.

I have figured it already, thats not the issue.
BMW are starting to fit a system with auto-updates which will remove any ability to change the software within the ecu directly.

If your going to tune this vehicle, use the multi loom and not the cheaper single or twin loom unit as sold in many places, you need ignition, fuel and boost as a minimum.

Try: http://www.dmsautomotive.com/index.php

They were the 1st & i think still only Tuner to offer a Custom remap for the F10 M5 so may have the new M3/4 in development.

I'd avoid tuning boxes/piggy back systems on a BMW M personally but they are a cheaper alternative.

You can't custom tune this car the traditional way, the aftermarket kit rebellion does is first class, a million miles away from tuning boxes of old.

Which car, the F10 M5 of M4?

The Rebellion kit is still just a tuning box & therefore uses in off the shelf map. I personally would avoid such a tune as no 2 cars are the same so i prefer a custom tune on a RR. Each to their own though & obviously a custom tune is more complex & takes far longer so therefore costs more.

Is this the company you recommending?: http://www.rebellionautomotive.co.uk I can't see mention of any BMW tuning & it appears the install is DIY if the A45 details are correct.

Because my car is a recent build it already comes with the latest TCU upgraded software (from the SLS Black i think). The V2 Itune boix is enough for me for now. Once im bored with that i may do more. But, with it already quicker than 99% of stuff on the raod i'll struggle to get bored.

Yes, that is the company. The website is slow to be updated. The best thing to do is call them and ask.

Yes, its a DIY install, which is actually very easy and handy for when you need to remove it for whatever reason. You dont have to remove it for servicing, just unplug the box and fit the bypass plug in the piggyback loom slot. Quick and easy and saves you having to mess about with the sensors every time you want to visit MB. They do custom work too, just ask.

I had Ray West re map my 1M before anyone else was offering the service,
He know's his way around bmw's and preps race cars for a living,
He's also an ex German touring car racer so is good at setting the standard geometry up better than how BMW let them leave the showroom.

As above, no way I'd put an off the shelf map on my F10 M5. Would rather spend more & get a genuine custom remapsmile

Remap can be removed when needed & updated when neededsmile
