I've managed to punch a hole in the rear bumper where the tow hook cover is. (Was reversing a trailer through 90 degrees and a jutting edge touched the bumper). The plastic cover seems not be available online as it seems to be specific to the M5, and only normal 5 series covers are available. Anyone know a good BMW parts website where I might find it?

More importantly, I've managed to nick the bumper itself just above the cover - does this look like a smart repair job, or will I need to replace the whole bumper? (Car is BMW Lease).

http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do?model=FV92...

Part number two - however, i would recommend checking it just incase as i guessed car age etc.

Also... towing on a m5? what tow bar are you using?

Thanks for this. I did a search on ebay and came up with the same part number but the seller's description says this 'M-Sport' bumper part is not suitable for the M5. How bizarre. I will call the dealer to verify.

I use the electric tow bar - it's completly invisible under the bodywork until required.

BMW option. Never fails to impress the guys at the trailer hire when I press the button in the boot and it swings out from underneath the car.
