BMW Warranty Options.
Discussion
Right folks,
I am going to sell my BMW M6 at the end of this year hopefully. I bought it with a 24 month AUC warranty which will expire November 30th, 2015. When my customer - assuming he keeps it for that long - comes to the closing date, what are his options? Can he renew the warranty with BMW directly or does he have to go through someone like Mondial and pay an excess everytime he will make a claim?
The car has 71,000 miles and is a 2006 registered car.

he will have to go though mondial to extended the warranty, he should receive a letter asking if he like to extend it.
because you have gone over the 60k mark it won't be cheap.
the auc will however transfer to him

Thanks Dave.
I've put my car on for sale on Autotrader (no link being given as it's against the rules) and have had some interested people ringing up. I've been very honest and upfront with them but that doesn't seem to have put them off as the car is still on an AUC warranty and can still be renewed whilst still under warranty before it lapses.
Am I correct in thinking - going by your post - that I do not have to ring up BMW and ask them to transfer it over to the new owner; it automatically happens when the V5 comes in their name? Also, the keys have the warranty details stored on them so they can just go to the dealership and say 'fix this' and all it verified before work commences?
