Hi all. I'm looking for a nice M5. Anyone here looking to sell or know of a good one? Id love one in Monte Carlo blue with silverstone interior and some nice options for around £40k. I've seen one at BMW in imperial blue with silverstone. I've not seen the car in the flesh and not sure of the colour. Any help greatly appreciated.

Really pisses me off when folk selling a premium product can't even get the basics right.

When was MCB a BMW Individual colour on the F10 M5? It's a standard no cost option colour (schoolboy error). I'd also be questioning 3 owners in 33K miles as is above average.

Saying that it's a nice looking car & some nice options.

For that kind of money I would be going AUC all the way.
Negotiate a a 2 year warranty, and a few quid off, and buying elsewhere makes little sense.

I presumed that was the one referred to in the OP:

That one does that's for sure yes

I've got a Silverstone II with Sakhir interior and that looks stunning but I still look at MCB and wonder if I made the right choice scratchchin

Oh, and when it's dry and you can put your foot down boy do they go.........

Nothing wrong with that on a car of this type/performance and certainly not uncommon.Lots of people are curious and like to try them to see what the fus is all about.
I bought mine with 3 owners in 5k miles and 17 months old, just p/ex'd it at 16k miles and 30 months old so now 4 owners!! Car is perfect and still wearing original tyres.
Epic cars...still keep remembering the performance and lack of grip!

What lack of grip?

They have huge lateral grip.....do you mean traction?

May not be anything wrong with that but it would ring alarm bells for me that the car wasn't up to standard & being moved on quickly.

Hi Chaps. Had a look at an imperial blue colour car today. Can't say it stood out for me though it was on a 4 series. I would rather buy from BMW or privately with a car under warranty. Sold my car yesterday so really need a car but nothing is hitting the spot!

Like i said, it's not necessarily a bad thing but i'd be asking questions. Some dealers will pre-reg a car so their's an owner that doesn't really count in the grand scheme. At 3 though with a lowish mileage, if you decided to move on then that's 4 & i'm sure 4 in less than 40k miles would be seen as an issue by some.

Of course it could purely be me being scepticalsmile

You have a valid point. However, these are 70-100k cars with high running costs. Typically not purchased by people who don't have the money to look after them, but, usually purchased by people who are able to recycle cars quickly and regularly. However, saying that there is examples of people purchasing them on man maths and not realizing what they have bought, or simply a change in lifestyle which must prompt change - the person before me was having children and downgraded(?) to a new X5 or 6.

I needed to trade in earlier this year to release some equity/capital and was caught out on the depreciation curve, however, i managed to find it elsewhere and kept the car. I am glad i did.

I would maybe be more concerned on a lesser model which had high turn over which i was buying privately rather than from an approved used bmw centre.
