Are there any of the tasty deals around at the moment?

EasternWestern seem to have M5's circa £600 per month but I seem to recall there were deals around at £5xx last summer.

Also what is the lead time on a lease car once specced?

Can't speak for current lease costs but lead times are as they would be on any new car order.

Mine was about 9 weeks from order to being ready for collection but on occasion you'll get quicker if there's a build slot free.

Thanks. Probably going to keep the cab over the summer and then switch Sept/Oct time, so should be doable if I order May/June?

How are you finding the F10? What options did you go for.

As it comes with

Privacy glass
20" wheels

I also bought 19" wheels cash woth winters on - you know for those nasty winters we used to get until.........I bought my winters rolleyes

Averaging about 17mpg and I don't think how I drive it so I'm quite happy with that. It can go up to early/mid 20's on a run but not often in my case!

New rear tyres after 9k miles which again with my style of enjoying the throttle I'm happy with (cost £500 all in). My mileage is 14k currently and I'm due a service in 1200 miles to include rear pads and oil which I've been quoted about £600 with discount (but I have't really haggled yet!)

Had a few issues with the car from new with a number of visits to the dealer but I was given a cheque by BMW by way of compensation and they treated me very fairly. I'm on a 12k per annum mileage and over by about 1k so far - but do you know what............I don't bloody care!

This car is without doubt the best car I've ever had the pleasure to drive

Comfortable
Very fast
Bit stealthy
Very fast
Looks great
Very fast
Handles brilliantly for a 2T tub
Very fast
Enough toys off the shelf to do the job and more
Very fast
Has 4 good seats
Very fast

Oh, and did I say it's very quick........?

I took a client out today who arrived in an new XKR and we got out of my car he just said........wow..........WOW smile

It's an amazing machine that's without doubt yes

I'm on a 3 year lease and as I write this I have no idea what I'll replace it with to be honest - the next step has to be an M6 but only time will tell.

Nice! thumbup

I share your pain with the winters! I chopped my e60 m5 for the Audi after having the m5 stuck on the drive through the hard winter 2 years ago (it was undrivable) - of course not so much as a flake of snow here since rolleyes

My thinking is either M5 lease or outright purchase of M6 as there don't seem to be any decent deals on these at the mo. Given you can get a car with Comp pack and all the toys like this one for £70k - it's VERY tempting! Only thing missing on this I'd like is B&O.

I remember the conversations we had when you got yours and I can't believe how time has flown!

Will be interesting to see what's about - the problem is the M5 is so bloody good I'll be disappointed in 90% of other machines with 4 wheels!

I'm the same but by the time I renew at the end of the year the f10 will only have another year until its replacement comes out and the M6 another two years. So the M6 would be better plus it would be nice to have a change or may be go for the competition version of the M5? I've done 30K miles so far and I get excited every time I get in. I used to have a weekend car and a normal car but its definitely better just have the one special car all the time.
