Was doing my daily rounds on autotrader and came across this rather unusual advert:

http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/2015...

Significantly cheaper than anything else for that millage but a "knocking Engine" surely the owner would have tried to kick up a fuss with BMW if there was something wrong with it at that year and millage.

What a terrible advert. It says every conceivable extra but all i see is standard kit. Says 2 Zone climate when the car has 4 zone as standard. Those wheels are the 20" wheel option unless i'm mistaken, not 19" as per the advert.

Where's the description of what the knocking engine is? Price dropped due to it but who in their right mind would buy a car with a possible fooked engine & no diagnosis?

Well you just wouldn't would you, not when you can get one for 36k and a warranty from a dealer.

Surely if he had any sense he would try and cash out via insurance or BMW warranty.

Didn't someone post a thread the other day asking if the Mondial warranty was worth it on an F10 M5?......

Must be damaged and repaired.

Seems like a lot of smoke, perhaps cold start?

"DrivePush Away Insurance"

£15k I may be tempted, that's ambitious to say the least. I can smell kippers from here and I'm in Yorkshire.

it does have 58k miles, I think we need to relative here really, like for like year and millage you would be looking around 39-41k from a garage of course.

In saying that you would have to have nuts of steel to even buy this knocking one at 25k seen as if it does need a new engine I am sure it will be easy 30-40k!

Would there potential be chassis damage to that car or would it be 100% superficial.
