I'm going to look at a 2012 BMW AUC next week - have sort of missed having a convertible since selling my Boxster S a few years ago.

I previously owned an E61 M5 and have driven an E92 M3, but is there anything in particular to look out for with these cars? It will be a third car and I don't do too many miles, so consumables and running costs won't be a big concern, more bothered with any niggles and annoyances that might jade the ownership experience.

Cheers,

Gary.

Throttle actuators are prone to failure. Theres two and cost £795 each!

Seat belt handover can get damaged easily.

Thats the only thing i can think would be an issue with a 2012 car.

As they get older, alloys can begin to corrode as their diamond cut/polished.

No seatbelt handover with the convertible as far as I'm aware.

I'm looking at similar cars at the moment, seems to be a bit of variety as to how well they've been looked after
