Anyone know why you cannot get the multifunction dash display on the M5?

I believe the OP is talking about the main instrument display on the LCI, which changes according to which mode is chosen (Comfort, Normal, Sport, etc), similar to this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UE1FRUG4Ozo

Maybe this is not available on the F10 M5 LCI?

I don't think there is a why, other than BMW M decided they didn't want it, sometimes the M cars don't get the same LCI as the standard cars.

IIRC the LCI on the 3 series e46 wasn't given to the M3 they did some stuff but not the restyled front lights and then added a few M LCI bits like the strut brace etc..

Yes, same with the E9X series, where the front lights didn't change on the M3 with the LCI, whereas the rear lights did.

Although it does look quite funky, i don't believe that feature is on any F10 or in fact any model in the BMW range other than the new 7 Series. Not sure i'd want it on my M5 but i can see the attraction. Still amazes me the M5 has the Efficiency feature within the iDrive, although it doesn't really do anything & i guess is only there to cheer Brussels upsmile

It is an option on the standard F10. Looking at it again, I think I prefer the standard display. Some of the U.S. guys think the refresh rate isn't fast enough to handle the M5, but I seriously doubt that is the case.
