Hello everyone

Been reading PH forums for quite some time now so thought I would join. Thought I would get it out the system and own a 500+ bhp car before 30 as I think your are supposed to become sensible at that age hehe

Went from Audi having only owned them but fancied an interior layout change, rwd, turbo charged engine and I have now got what I would class as a true drivers car. As much as it is a proper GT style car in comfort and efficient mode, the transformation into this supercar at a touch of a pre-programmed setting M1/M2 is awesome to say the least biggrin

I'll see if I can attach a couple of photos without the headache banghead

Thanks drink 2013 model, had been hunting for a high spec one for some months so had to be this one. First impressions of BMW M Power leaves me well impressed.

I there that much of a difference? On paper it's up 15bhp and I think I may be right in saying they have tightned the front axle as one of the tweaks plus different exhaust, 10mm lower. I may have gone for one if I could find approved used but it was a high spec without the comp pack alloys I couldn't find. B&O a must for me music . Obviously buying new eradicates those issues biglaugh

I had a drive of said car and TBH it drives even smoother than stock! You really need to keep an eye on the speedo though as silly speeds pile on so easy. wink

That does sound impressive I have emailed a few companies more local and see what they come up with. I'm in NE Scotland so it's a fair trek to get anywhere down south. I typically let my tyres heat up to a minimum of 25 deg monitored via the vehicle stats display. Do you have a particular figure you allow?

I think once you are rolling and the car is up to temp all round the torque must be immense! spin

A lot of difference coming from a LCI M5 none CP.
You will enjoy the car regardless. My car just handles and goes so well.

That could be mine, but it's 748bhp & 950nm so not far off. Their Stage 1 is around 665-690bhp & 590-610lbsft. They've also cracked the top speed limitersmile

Edit as possibly isn't mine now i've read the later postssmile

748bhp?! Jesus that must be fun biggrin - Have you had it timed to 100mph?

How is it for drivability? Can the DCT take that kind of punishment long term?

That's a different league in terms of power nevermind getting traction laugh .

I have emailed a few companies in Scotland regarding a remap but no replies. Maybe I'll need to get used to the standard bhp before upgrading.....

6.2 without Launch Control & the same run was a 10.5 1/4mile @ 132mph again without LC.

Drivability was interesting & has taken some fine tuning to get it perfect but just amazing now (note the fine tuning has taken place since the VBOX run). DCT doesn't appear bothered & well able to take it.

That's not slow, especially considering the weight!

Is that software only (or tuning box) or does it require intakes/exhaust/turbo mods?

Wouldn't touch a tuning box with a bargepole on a car such as the F10 M5. Value tuning has its place, but on premium car i personally would steer clear.

Only VBOX run i've managed was very un scientific, just buried the loud pedal & went. Traction is much improved since then so confident a sub 6 to 100mph is now possible. Will get more data over the Summer.

I don't think all tuning boxes are equal (Dinan for example), but that's not really what I was asking.

Is this just a 'tune' or are 'hardware' mods also required?

Cool cool - And the work was done by DMS? Can I be cheeky and ask how much?!
