2005 M3 E46 & KW v2: recommendations
Discussion
Hello,
I was wondering: do you have any recommendations for this suspension. At this point I'm running Michelin Pilot Sport CUP tyres and the KW settings are unknow. I recently bought the car this way.
Now the car is really nonplanted on the road. It jumps over each bump, I even lost it once at 60 mph on a bump.
I even consider swapping back to OEM suspension, if the new settings don't solve a lot.
Some people do contribute the harsh ride to the cup tyres.
I will be fitting new Michelin Supersports next week, and I will let the mechanics change my KW v2 settings too, as I do not have the tools for it. Will buy it soon though.
I will not be doing trackdays with it. Just need a decent compromise between comfort and handling, for road use.
These are the settings that have been recommended to me:
Measured from full hard
Rebound FRONT: 1 ½ full turns REAR: 2 full turns
And what about the ride height? I like the OEM/CSL look, but I do not know how high this is.
Thank you for all your advice
Mathieu
