Currently swapping out my old H&R suspension set-up for KW3's and have hit problems with the rears, as the 2.5" springs are fouling the lower, inside wall of the turret. I understand this is quite common when fitting true coilover but is there a solution that doesn't entail surgery to the turret? It's not a huge amount of clearance that is needed, so one would hope there are top mounts with more adjustability, but the ones currently fitted just don't have enough.

I have access to a bare shell so will head over and take some photographs to show exactly what the issue is.

I also need to lose the OE filler neck, as it foul the shock on that side, but is it viable to manufacture a custom neck that would miss? Otherwise, I am considering a spare wheel well mounted cell, from the likes of ATL. I know this will mean opening the boot to refuel (not a real problem) but are there any other considerations I may have missed?

Thanks in advance.

Quick one Mark, has your car got a long range tank in the boot? I cant picture it in my head as Im at work but I do know that there are two types of filler neck, long range tank and without. Worth a check that a standard filler neck doesn't cure the foul and you just loose the boot mounted tank before you do anything drastic!

I'll take a look. It would certainly be good news if all I need to do is lose the auxiliary tank.

Got to be worth a look. If it works and your old pipe is surplus, I'll cross your palms with silver for it as last time I looked at mine it appeared to have lost some newness wink. (NLA part)
