Hi Everyone
Just bought an EBAY M5 with a known Throttle body fault. Bought it cheap due to the fault, but it packed in on the M57 from Glasgow. Had to get a flat bed to take it to my nearest BM dealer !!!!!!
Good news, the garage has confirmed the fault is a throttle actuator and are mending it on Wednesday. Ive been for the last three days reading the manual, service book etc, very frustrating.
When I get it back I will set up all the necessary. Im very excited!!!!!
Just a couple of question today
1) what settings do people use for the M button. Im Thinking P500sport S5
2) I was told by the owner that the use of the gear lever to change gears is more gentle on the smg box than the paddles, is this true?

Well first of all congrats! Hope that's the only fault it came with...

1) P500S S6 DSC off, why would you have it as anything other than the most hardcore setting? biggrin But P500S S5 MDM is a good start.
2) How can that be true? They're just both sending a signal to the box to change gear.

Thanks for that, that's what I thought about the smug box. I think I'll start with P500 sport S5 as you suggest. Am used to cars stepping out, had a TVR AND A 911. Will go for S6 when I get used to the beast.
