Just got home from the dealers after ordering my new cars x5 3.0d msport for the mrs and M4 coupe (with full mperformance aero kit and exhaust) for me. Both mineral white, black interior for hers and Sakhir for mine.
Quite excited now, both due for delivery early December. It's gonna be a long 5/6 weeks.

I ordered mine last week and was told it would be end of December.
Hopefully my dealer was just under promising.
I'd give anything to have it in 5-6 weeks!

thanks, the condition of me upgrading was that the 15 yr old renault scenic child mover gets upgraded as well.. gotta keep the mrs happy and when it snows ill nick it.

Daryl, i was originally quoted late feb but when they put the order in it came forward to mid december but aparently may move closer to late Nov. initially it was a lease on alphabet when i got the first estimate but went for PCP in the end so not sure if the finance route has any bearing on delivery times? i dont know how that side of it works.

cant wait to get it though. was going for an M5 but not for me so blew the m5 budget on a specced out M4 with all the add ons. couldnt justify CC Brakes though, it wont be on the track so cant see the point in the outlay. plus i got the MPE and all the carbon fibre skirts diffuser and spoilers for the same price as CC Brakes roughly. far more useful for me to look and sound cool than have gold calipers.

Yes maybe, my sales guy was hurrying me along to get my deposit saying he had reserved me a build slot and if he loses it I'll be waiting until March!
I thought it was just a sales technique but maybe there was some element of truth to it!

Congrats on the big spec and agree on the CCB's! they don't add anything to the GFV so would be an extra £175 a month just for them, can't justify it!
I was also thinking of adding the exhaust but then I saw the flap mod video on youtube that sounds like a huge step up from the normal tin can sound.
I'm going to give that a try before shelling out the 3 grand for the MPE.

I think by the time my car comes I'd have watched every M4 video out there ten times over!! Haha

i feel your pain, i am now watching german language M4 you tube vids as ive seen all the others. (and i cant speak or understand german!, did come across a nice russian one on there lol). TBH i wouldnt ever shell out the cost of all the Mperformance add ons aftermarket as couldnt justify the cost. its only that i had budgeted for monthly payments of an M5 with a few options then when changed to M4 and had some budget to play with. i didnt realise it can all be added to finance so just got carried away chucking all the bits on.

So you've added the MPE and all the other bits to your PCP?
I've only added the grills and side grills so far and I'm paying case for them separately!

yep added everything to it. its the only way i could justify it to myself. man maths of course as its still costing me money but in my mind the monthly outgoing M5 budget was already "spent" so if i could get it all in for that budget on the m4 then it was effectively free!!

the mrs wasnt involved in any of these calculations of course! and if she asks its all original equipment!

what colour and spec did you go for then? congrats also bet you cant wait..

Aaahh man maths, I think we all use it when buying something expensive.
My method of thought was my mortgage has come down by £400 a month after securing a much better rate so I'd be no worse off each month.
I could of afforded it without that I suppose but it's all about justifying it for some reason!

I went for the Grey in the end, I was agonizing over the colour for weeks, proper first world problems!
Only options I have ticked is DCT, Black alloys, HK, Sun protection glass, extended stoage and the sliding armrest.
Poverty spec to some I suppose but I wanted to keep the payments below a certain level.
Would of been very easy to get carried away and tick HUD, Full leather, LED lights etc.

What colour did you go for?

Nice, to be fair thats all i was going to spec when i first quoted the M4. its only that id sold myself on an M5 then reworked the budget that i found some more money! (the kids like beans and bread and water is all you need to stay alive!) After test driving an M5 for 250 miles i realised i dont have the self control for that car and would be in prison in a week so went back to the M4. i think in the real world you can have more fun in that than the M5 as realistically the "fun" driving i do is 20 - 100 mph. its the open country lane driving i enjoy and in a 2 ton M5 id quickly die!

Went for Mineral White, sakhir orange interior the free one not the extended. as to spec, DCT, Black alloys, HK, Sun protection, sliding armrest, HUD, LED adaptive lights,High beam assist, reverse camera, surround view, carbon fibre dash. plus the Mperformance stuff.
Ive added the active security package this morning as an afterthought. that lot came to just over the base price of an M5 with a bit of dealer discount and a tad of aforementioned man maths.

oh and if anyone wants a two yr old M135i with 20K on the clock (one careful lady owner!) i need to sell it pronto! thats the only drawback of a quick delivery. Just cleaned the inside of it wash/wax and pics on the weekend and then sticking it in the classifieds.

Mineral white and SO interior. The best M4 combo!
