Faster steering rack on E46 M3

Hello,

I own a 2005 E46 M3 since a year. Before I always had hot hatches from Renault Sport.

I find the steering rack a bit too slow coming from these fast hatches. That's why I am considering a steering rack swap from a Z4 M or E46 CS.
Anyone has experiences with these swaps? Will this be expensive?

Any remarks or experiences are greatly appreciated.

I'm pretty sure the purple tag racks will go straight on? This could well be a mod that I look to do myself soon, so I hope that's the case.

i love the steering rack on my z4m.... really nicely setup, feels better than that of my new fiesta ST which seems to clear up on pretty much every review its in so its a solid bench mark.
