Retro fit Auto Rev Match to E92 M3

Surely cheaper and more rewarding to teach your self to heel and toe I would imagine the cost would be astronomical....
I'm assuming its a software modification to the ECU, because that's how they over came with the Nissan 370Z, if the rev limiter can be written out of the map by those cleaver people who can, I'm just think this might be possible, but there might not be a commercial demand for it to fund the R&D. Its not a case of anyone teaching themselves to heel and toe, first its heel & toe under braking, the M3 is over assisted for braking, second the the brake pedal is a lot higher than the accelerator, so does not lend itself to braking and rolling the ball of your foot onto the accelerator to add a burst of rpm to aid the down shift as you would in a Porsche.
I have actually tried to use my heel to blip the throttle, and it hurts like hell and is totally unsuccessfull , If someone can tell me that they can blip the throttle with their heel whilst braking and down shifting I'd like to know how the manage it or tell me how best I can do it

Forgive me for being stupid, but don't you blip with the toe?
You are not stupid, you are just asking a question.Specifically I'm talking about performance driving and the ability to carry as much speed as possible as close as possible before a corner and go through that corner in the right gear to accelerate out.
So its down shifting "whilst braking", whilst adding a burst of revs to stop the engine acting as a brake (engine braking) when you drop to a lower gear, because you want to select the right gear to exist corner just before you enter it, commonly known as fast in and fast out.
See the link with E46 M3, its shows the process at a reduced rate because of the poor weather.

I can't imagine there's very much demand at all for this. For me, it's certainly a negative point for the 370Z and M3/M4 for having it.
I know what you mean though, it's way harder than it used to be in less heavily brake servo'd cars to modulate the brake pedal when close to lock up, whilst also dialling up another couple of thousand rpm at the same time. I'd still rather do the throttle blip myself though.

I think its the case that if it were available people may take it, after all Nissan and BMW have given this option and they both have huge market research budgets, and the former is probably the most diverse car manufacturer for model range.I know what you mean though, it's way harder than it used to be in less heavily brake servo'd cars to modulate the brake pedal when close to lock up, whilst also dialling up another couple of thousand rpm at the same time. I totally agree with you "I'd still rather do the throttle blips myself" and I have not yet given up and gone the route of Ultimate pedal covers which reshape to bring them closer and I can see how to give a degree of adjustment to raise the cover to the throttle pedal, or I hope I will be able to when they eventually arrive from America.

Err... that's how it's done. What am I missing? dadofbud said:

It's easy to forget how completely alien it feels when first trying it. Try it using mainly the ball of your foot on the brake. It will feel completely alien until you've tried it for a while.
