hi all I currently have an m4 and a 520d I'm on the brink of selling the 520d and buying a e90 m3 as my second car and generally to put miles on it. Is it a big gulf between the m3 and the m4? Does it have everything that the m4 does like the iPhone app and an m mode in the traction control? and is it as bad on fuel as the engine capacity would suggest? and it would mostly be motor way cruising at 70 what kind of mpg would you expect from it?

The E90 M3 still has MDM for the traction control that allows a fair bit of slip before it reins it in, so you can have it fully on/MDM/or fully off.

Regards to fuel economy they aren't great because to really appreciate the engines capability it needs plenty of revs which in turn eats fuel, if you plan to sit at 70mph everywhere in it then buy another fuel efficient car instead I reckon.

With petrol being cheap at the moment you will be able to blast around everywhere anyway. driving
