Did 360 miles in the e39 on Saturday and I have to say the car never ceases to amaze me with how good a long distance cruiser it is . Much more relaxed than the f10 . Drove the f10 on Sunday and it is just bonkers !!
I love them both but after a service the e39 will be up for sale as I don't use it enough to justify keeping it .
Will I regret selling the e39...

Best colour for the F10 M5 smile It's interesting to see how much bigger the cars are these days.

Lucky man- Keep the E39!!! Lovely things, and the only car in that picture that won't depreciate!

I had my E39 M5 for over four years, great car but I don't get why everyone bangs on about them. Nearly 3 years
later I don't miss owning an E39 M5, great while I owned one but prefer to move on to newer models.

If you can be bothered before selling it would be very interesting to see a pic of them from the rear side-by-side, thank you.

The E39 just looks so much better proportioned IMO, the F10 just looks like it has a really fat arse!

Many thanks. Love the tow ball!

Interesting - I was expecting the F10 to be a lot wider relative to its older brother.

There's not as big a difference as I was expecting.

Agreed... to a large extent "fatness" of modern cars are dictated by regulations.
