Stunning machine. BMW have really got it right with the styling. Personally, am just not a fan of convertible M cars.

A bit pricey?
Worth trade around £35k?

I would ignore this.

I have looked at M4 cabs on and off for 6 months and I have only ever seen two around 45k mark. Generally around 50k plus.

35k! I don't think so. I've just traded mine to dick Lovett for 44k so that price looks good.

You got a trade price of £44K for a poverty spec 2 year old M4 convertible with 10k miles?
I think not.
OK so £35k may be a touch harsh but not by much - maybe £36k, £37k top of its head for a straight trade sale.
I would be wanting to pay £42K for that car retail - thats certainly where I would start and would be prepared to walk away if they wouldn't deal at £43k.

Seems to be a few of those Cabs about pre registered ?

Prices seem like a decent saving.

Is it because the new 6cyl lump is not as good as the V8 ?

The "cheap" pre reg cabs are manuals.

When I drove the M4 Cab I actually preferred the engine because it is quicker than the V8, didn't sound anywhere near as bad as I was made to believe from what I'd read and it was nice that I didn't have to wait until 6k revs for it to feel quick.

I would argue that the 6 pot is actually better than the V8 in every situation apart from on a track maybe.

Weighing in on this one as I recently bought a new M4 convertible and had an E93 M3 convertible previously.

The M3 sounded too quiet without the pipe mod and then afterwards was fantastic, great sound but too loud on cold starts.

I spec'ed the M4 with the M-Performance exhaust and so can't compare the standard sound of the 6cyl to the old V8, but expect it was similar to the old M3 standard.

I definitely think that in every way other than exhaust sound the M4 is an improvement, I'm still running it in so can't really go above 4k revs but even low down it feels great and that wheel spin in 3rd gear is mad.

I do love the pops and bangs of the M4 but really miss the real V8 note that the M3 had.
