Quality and price of workmanship in Germany for E30 M3.

Curious if anybody has had work done to their M in Europe/Scandinavia and whether the workmanship is of a higher quality?
How does it compare to Uk price wise?
Is it just a case they spend more money on their M3?
It just seems that there are alot more high quality E30 M3s on mainland Europe/Scandanavia as opposed to UK. Maybe more so modified ones, I'm not sure maybe both. They seem to be more passionate about them over there or simply are just happy to spend more money on them, just going from some pics I see online or am I totally off the mark?
