So I have just ticked passed 9,000 miles and rears look decidedly dead frown

Problem is I can't seem to get a rear set anywhere.

I can get the MO (Mercedes) spec ones and but feel I shouldn't get those. Or am I over thinking this ?

Any pointers would be great !

Cheers

I think it may not make very much difference, if the actual spec of the tyre is exactly the same?

Black circles list a Pirelli Pzero For Bmw fitment.

http://www.blackcircles.com/catalogue/pirelli/pzer...

Its a bit like oil, as manufactures swap and change, Bmw used to only advise on using Castrol oil, now they 'only' supply Shell?

We have a TT and Toyo tyres were supplied from Audi, they now supply Hankook on new model TT! I fitted the exact same Toyo proxy T1 sport 255/35/ R19 96XL the car came supplied with but without the Audi 'AO' marking, the tyre centre told me its the exact same tyre, supplied by Audi £155 from back circles £113...? your call but I've struggled to find differences in the past, even the Audi Tech's couldn't tell me why they were different.

Is this the one you found?

http://www.blackcircles.com/catalogue/michelin/pil...

Cant see any reason not to fit them, maybe i'm under thinking it??

I'm sure BMW would advise 'not to fit them' but wont be able to provide a genuine technical reason.

Hey Cheers for the reply Andy !

Yeah I have looked at Black Circles today. I can get the Pirellis but that's what I have on at the moment and feel I want the better grip offered by the MPSS.

I spoke to someone at Black Circles and they seem to categorically state they don't have the right MPSS for me, as they only have the MO at the moment.

But I tend to agree, perhaps I am over thinking this a bit.....

This is the quote from Black Circles :

Matthew: Unfortunately we do not have a Super sport available that can be fitted to a BMW vehicle
The ones we currently have is a Mercedes and an Audi fitment - these cannot be fitted to your vehicle

This.

OP - the tyre you have listed from blackcircles will be absolutely fine.

Understood guys !

Its just a bit weird black circles have told me it wouldn't be suitable for my BMW.

On my E39 M5 I have run Continental MO for years and no issues

Hi it's funny they (black circles) said that as well once I'd ordered my toyos they called my fitting centre to say they thought id ordered the 'wrong tyre' maybe they are covering themselves in case of any come back. But the fitting centre said they were fine. As did Audi when it last had a major service.

I'd go with them mo ones.
