F10 M5 Competition Pack?

Hi All,
I am seriously considering an M5 as my next car and have been looking at what options are available. I usually end up steering towards the more spec'd up models but wanted to get some views on if the competition pack is worth it. It seems like it was a fairly expensive upgrade with limited returns as far as I can tell (odd looking alloys, a little more power and a little quicker).
So anyone have one, have any views or know more than me??

It was the only criteria I had when I walked in to the dealer to buy mine. Having lived with it for 15k and 9 months I don't regret it.
I think one reviewer put it that the competition pack makes the M5 what it always should have been where as the standard car is a bit soft and compromised.
However, it is expensive and I am sure most wouldn't notice on the daily commute around the M25.

I have a non competition pack F10 M5 , the cars only done just under 2k miles and so maybe a little early to tell, and I can't say that I've ever felt the need for more power or firmer settings.
M2 mode basically turns it into a screaming lunatic. It has so much performance that using it all on public roads would be utter insanity. I could understand the efficacy of the competition pack for track use, but not on our beleaguered and speed trap infested British highways.
Fantastic car with or without the competition pack. I can't imagine life without mine now!

I have a competition package F10 and for it was a 'must have'. I was initially interested in the standard car, but after driving one with competition package I knew that I would regret not having a car with CP.
Firstly, it is not a night and day difference by any means, however all the changes add up to make it even more interesting.
The additional power is not noticeable on the road by me, but I doubt many people really believe that the standard car is lacking in power!
The suspension is different, 20% stiffer springs and dampers and antiroll bars. It's still very comfortable in comfort mode, but sport and super sport really tie the car down (super sport is too stiff on most B roads). I tend to drive the car with MDM, comfort steering, sport throttle, sport or sport plus suspension, manual (fastest setting) or auto (middle setting). These setting work really well wet or dry.
The MDM mode is more relaxed, letting you slide the car more before it gathers things up, and the LSD is more aggressive also.
The exhaust is louder, but not too loud, in fact it's still quiet inside. I often drive in town with the window open, just to hear that noise

I went from the LCI M5 too M6 GC Comp Pack, hardly noticed the power difference at all TBH.I am seriously considering an M5 as my next car and have been looking at what options are available. Sold the M6 as it just could not be stretched here in the UK, it was on Idle most of the time.
