Just looking for your thoughts as potentially taking the plunge on my first ever new car..

Spent too long on holidays looking at the M2 on YouTube / Pistonheads.

A base spec M2 in Australia, they call it Pure, is $6500 cheaper, the dealer has one available for early November..
Should I wait the extra time for the Full spec.

Differences below.

"To confirm the Car we actually have in stock the M2 Pure which is the $6500 cheaper option (RRP $100’005), the difference is that is does not have the touch entry & locking, Full electric Seats and Harmon & Kardon Sound system!

The other main options is 3 other colour choices (Prestige metallic + $1150) and with or without a Sunroof (+$2000) so reasonably straight forward."

Appreciate any owners / opinions..

I am going for a manual in Long Beach Blue, the rest is to be agreed..

The Pure is manual only as well (not a problem for you as you don't want DCT). I thought there were several other extras included in the non-Pure option which made it worth the extra, I have a brochure at home so will take a look tonight

Hi,

Yes your were right, another dealer confirmed the options as below.

"There are two option available:
A. M2 Pure, Manual only. RRP $105,000.00 inc. Metallic Paint
B. M2 DCT, Ordered as a manual @ no charge. RRP $114,000.00 inc. Metallic Paint

The DCT option gets:
Adaptive Headlights, Comfort Access, Electric Seats with memory function, Harmon Kardon Sound System."

I'm on holidays at the moment so will look into these 9k worth of options further when I get home.

If the base spec was still desirable for resale I would consider as I can get one this November, anything else April / May currently, I'm told.

The pure spec seems a common option in Oz.

A lot of M3's came in this spec.

I wonder do these resell ok.

Can't comment on that as I'm UK based and we don't get the pure spec here, we just have one model and choose from the options list.
