My E92's OEM wheels are looking a little sorry for themselves - a mixture of kerbing from previous owner and light corrosion - and in a lightbulb moment I realised that instead of just getting them refurbished, I could get some M359s instead...the wheels I've wanted all along.

Where can you get them, reliably in the UK? eBay only appears to have one or two sets available - one being cracked and one needing a refurbishment for mild kerbing.

Google has failed me!

Thanks. I'm really not sure about replica wheels - the Avant Garde wheels look the part but they seem too cheap at ~£700. Half the price of a set of BBS CHs.

Anyone got any decent details showing they're worth my time?

Someone posted this site a few weeks ago and I recently ordered a set up to replace my badly refurbed ones:

I used to run Avant Garde M359's on an E90 diesel, never had any trouble with them and they're a very good replica of the OEM wheel, miles better than a lot of the other ones out there.

I want them. I really do...but the money is steep compared with just getting a refurbishment done. I'll sleep on it!

I bought a set of 19in CSL replicas in Hyper Silver from Chris for my black M92 M3.
Straight swap for the 220s (IIRC).
Looked great and didn't explode or anything over the 10k miles and 2 years of ownership.
Sold the car on with them no probs.

I got quoted £470 to refurb my existing wheels, properly stripped and painted etc. However the new ones were around £1560ish and i've agreed to sell on my old ones for £1000 so it wasn't that crazy in the end.

Did you get a weight for them compared to 220Ms or 359Ms?

That's decent. I don't think I could sell me 220Ms for anything meaningful.

No, sorry.
Might be worth a quick PM to Chris on M3Cutters or email him direct:

I don't own a set of the 359 reps sold by CM Wheels, but 99.9% of the feedback is very positive and he sells a hell of a lot of them. I think I can only recall one or two instances of slight paint defects, and I believe the wheels were replaced without issue.

BMW never made a e92 M3 CSL so anyone trying to flog you such wheels is selling snake oil.
