Hi guys

My Z4M makes an odd whir/creak when turning at low speed. This is mainly noticeable on my work car park which is a multi-story so has a few full lock turns on to and then off of the ramps. I've only noticed the noise from the front passenger side - but hard to tell as I'm inside the car and it could be the layout of the car park just puts pressure on that corner.

Not sure if related, but sped bumps can generate a little knock sound as well from the front passenger side.

Any suggestions as to what could be causing this? I torqued all the strut brace and mount nuts today - only one had any movement, rest seemed tight. I'm hoping it's not a damper issue!

Thanks
Wayne

Don't know if it's the same setup but on my e46 m3 I had a similar noise and it turned out to be the ball joint, I had to have new lower arms fitted under warranty there not available as a separate part.

Get the rear springs looked at, prone to snapping

Thanks for the tip I'll heck the ball joints out.

Rear springs should be OK as they were changed to Eibach by the previous owner.

Softening lollipop bushes? And check the PS fluid level.

I'll try get in for a rummage around the bushes/strut in general. Did sound a bit like a bush issue if I recall correctly. The wine at slow speed could be the diff as it's low speed full lock turns. Don't think that's anything to worry about according to what I've seen online.

PS fluid - checked yesterday and at the maximum.
