Hi All,

I have just traded my E39 in & picking up an M6 Grand Coupe tomorrow - can't wait!!

I have a few bits left in the garage, the main part are my "winter wheels/tyres" wheels are 18 inch BBS, but I'm not sure what style they are, so not sure what to list them as or what they are worth now.

The tyres are Michelin Alpin, 3 have approx 7mm & one has 4mm.
The wheelscould do with a refurb, I never bothered as when ever I used in the winter, they were always filthy dirty so it never mattered. Anyone have a clue what they are & what they are worth?

I also have a dice/intravee to run iPod again any idea on value?

Steve, did the same transition myself a little over 3 years ago, but I kept the M5!

The M6 GC is a very different beast to the E39 M5, much faster but not so much character. It's a very big car too, and feels it. Judging where the wheels are takes some time and they are easily curbed so er on the side of caution until you get used to it.

Wheels are BBS RX 209's The wheels by them selves are worth £250 - £300 depending on condition, with the tyres I'd have thought £500 - £600.

The Intravee/KCA-420i etc usually go for between £150 and £200 on ebay.

Hi Richard,

I forgot that you did that! I would love to keep the E39 - she has been great, but its time to move on and logistically I can't keep both!!

I will give you a buzz a bit later for a catchup - I take it you haven't changed your mobile no?

Same mobile number Steve. How long did you have that M5? Must be 10 or 11 years at least.

Steve,

Out of curiosity did you p/x the M5 at Sytner Tamworth, there is a 2001 M5 listed in the classifieds with no pics and 'arriving soon', in red with 186k for £12k. I assume its your old car? I can't imagine they gave you anything remotely close to £12k in p/x!

I have been keeping an eye out for an E39 M5, potentially something with more miles which is a solid base to slowly restore and cherish. I kick myself for not buying one 4-5 years ago when prices bottomed out. However at £12k I think I might give it a miss.

Cheers.

Yes that was mine!
It's wanted for nothing at all - had full engine refurb (timing chains/big ends)
Paintwork is mint! (Pretty much full respray, including jacking points (preventative))
Fire me your number/email on DM and I'll send you some pics etc!!

Resurrecting this post, I still have the wheels & tyres. With the snow & ice coming does anyone fancy taking them off my hands before I put on eBay?
