F10 M5 Steering fault (really heavy)

Driving the M5 to the petrol station and all of the sudden the steering went really heavy, worse than no power steering.
It was almost impossible to turn.
I got BMW to come out and have a look but there wasn't a single fault showing or anything at all showing on his computer.
He disconnected the battery, still the same.
It's being taken to the BMW tomorrow but not sure what they'll do.
When I was driving it, the faster I went the easier it was to turn but still a lot harder than normal.
Anyone heard of anything similar to this?
