My M3 sale update
Discussion
My original post has been taken down, as I thought it might. However I have placed an ad' on this site yesterday. Immeadiately, well within a couple of hours received two enquiries, both from seemingly serious possible purchasers. Two appointments so hopefully somebody will have a good buy.
And the ad' was FOC for me.

That's good going, when I had two people vying for my "ordinary" E46, it was simple, I got asking price. I wish you the same luck. And the ad' was FOC for me.

Back of my mind was one almighty mechanical meltdown which spoilt the occasion.

After the initial joy I soon realised that I was just not using the car, my son used it more than myself. Seemed to me that I had scratched an itch and can tick it off my bucket list. Great car but I read too many horror stories about rod bearings and the like.

I will be honest, that sort of has put me off a couple of things on mine. But I'm easier about it than I thought now. It's a daily runner which is not really thrashed that often and generally is warmed up before putting the beans down anywhere. It's not been a cheap car to own however!Back of my mind was one almighty mechanical meltdown which spoilt the occasion.
If I still have in the future I'll probably throw in another set of bearings but it did have the recall for the bearings and did many motorway miles earlier on in its life which should give me some time hopefully.
I take it the new car of yours has also taken your fancy? That looks fantastic.

Still today I get a new MOT for the new owner and also have a slightly scuffed wheel edge sorted. New owner collects Saturday.
Looking for a replacement daily runner at the moment, our poor old skoda fabia has served us well at 200,000 almost trouble free miles. Amazing really, but it looks uncared for, which is precisely correct so far as cosmetics go.
Need something my wife is happy to drive. which seriously limits choice! Really fancied a Jag XF at around 8k they seem a superb bargain. Big no from wife though, blast. Something smaller and less powerful, perhaps a Ford focus ST may fit the bill. Less powerful than the M3, slightly smaller, 5 door and a ford badge for cheaper maintenance. Does this sound a convincing play on words that I can use in explaining my car buying logic

As for my old Humber. thanks for kind words, it's a lovely old thing, at least in my eyes. Central throttle pedal and gear change on the right, along with pedal for front brakes and hand. rake for rear brakes. Good fun to drive.
