2017 CP car, 3000 miles in since late July.

Earlier this week, every time I started the car, instead of continuing with whatever media choice I had in when switched off, it reverts back to the media selection menu.

Then the driver's door card began to continuously rattle. Then there has begun a creaking above my head and simultaneously rear nearside, sounding suspiciously like a problem with the roof panel.

Then today, it's put itself into Park 4 times when sat idling in traffic, meaning an embarrassing rev before looking down and spotting it.

Then tonight on the way home, *bing*, warning message, "Start Stop has failed, please call service partner". Disappeared after leaving the car and coming back 20 mins later.

Not a good start.

The creaking you can hear above your head is the rubber door seals creaking against the body, it's very common and BMW have a fix for this. Mine had this issue but it's all sorted now.
I've got an early December 2014 F80 M3 that's covered 12,300 miles and never had any other problems, love it, fantastic car.

Hopefully the other issues are minor problems the dealer can sort for you.

Yeah, hope so. I suspect the Park issue ans stop/start is related and the others might just need a reset.

Will put it in for some warranty work regarding door cards/seals.

Annoyingly I had an F30 320d for a couple of years that was faultless.

Though it may appear OTT I would reject the vehicle in writing now.

I had a vehicle which had recurring issues and gave the dealer (and manufacturer) the benefit of doubt. It cost me dearly as I waited too long to reject the vehicle - according to my solicitor your rights gradually begin to decrease after the initial 3 months.

If the car is on finance you will need to write directly to the finance company to reject the vehicle (rather than to the dealership).

Good luck!
